Hello! I tried NetAsm a bit before and really liked it, but recently I fired up some of my old test cases which worked before and now they crash with an ExecutionEngineException on the first injected method. Almost seems like some .NET update that doesn't play nice. Any idea what the problem could be?

Also when I only Install and Remove the JitHook, the exception occurs when the program closes.

I've been messing around a bit with this and found out it's actually the same issue as at http://www.codeplex.com/netasm/WorkItem/View.aspx?WorkItemId=7468 . Reading the classHandle in compileMethod will throw a native access violation while reading error. When you remove all classHandle references, it runs fine.

Strange... i haven't still checked that a recent .NET update is causing this. I will have a look on this probably in december. Thanks for the report

In file NativeHook.cpp method compileMethodHook the above code throws an exception , just cannot figure out why this is hapenning . I am using an Win XP Machine and Visual Studio 2008 pro , the hooking dll and the app dll both are targeted for .NET Runtime v2.0.

Do you still have this issue? Can you give me more information about the class being Jitted (classname, namespace)?

Next version of NetAsm will be refactored and will support x64 as well. I hope that this bug will be corrected (if i'm able to reproduce it)
